All Saints’ Gladstone is proudly associated with Saint Andrew’s church on Stewart Island. This beautiful church at the southernmost point of the Diocese has been a centre of worship for over 120 years. Services are conducted monthly on Stewart Island in conjunction with the local Presbyterian church as both congregations have become smaller and an ecumenical approach appears to work well for everyone. Because of this some services are held at the Oban Presbyterian Church and others at Saint Andrew’s.
Our monthly service is held at 10.30am on the fourth Sunday of each month (February – November) with a service being held on Christmas Eve/Christmas Day by a visiting minister, most years. There is a small, but vibrant worshipping community on the island, and our numbers are regularly topped up by visitors.
